I wanted to try out using an iPad as the initial portion of my workflow for when I’m not in my studio and then use it as a jumping off point for when I was ready to flesh it out on the desktop. So, while out and about, I doodled this spacerhino/hyena-esque creature in the iPad app, “Paper” by FiftyThree Studios (which, as I mentioned last week, is the first iPad drawing app I enjoy).
The iPad’s hardware capabilities/accuracy are a limiting factor but they prove good enough for a concept sketch to get rough ideas out which I can take home and begin to bring to life. While I wouldn’t use an iPad to sketch things out when I have access to my studio, it provides me a great place to begin to form initial ideas on the go to revisit later.

Bob Stein at if:book: Back to the Future — In honor of Encyclopedia Britannica giving up its print edition
These drawings date from 1982 (thirty years ago). Alan Kay had just become the Chief Scientist at Atari and he asked me to work with him to continue the work I started at Encyclopedia Britannica on the idea of an Intelligent Encyclopedia. We came up with these scenarios of how the (future) encyclopedia might be used and commissioned Glenn Keane, a well-known Disney animator to render them. The captions also date from 1982.

err, i hope tumblr can help me to be more expressive. i’ll take this as a “self-esteem workshop”. ^_^ #yeahI’mBeingWEIRD. this must be the effect of my paranoia. LoL :D

I’m not perfect, my hair doesn’t stay in place, I spill a lot of things and I’m clumsy… but in the end I realized… I LIKE BEING IMPERFECT. :))

#myFaveGirlyQuote ^_^

There are thoughts that you wanna express but you chose to keep it within yourself… You have this hesitation that you might not sure if those were just ILLUSIONS.Oh c’mon, Why am I so paranoid this time? :|

We’re just like acceleration which gives a lot of time and no farther distance to keep in touch with each other. From the starting point to where the net force existed, she’s the gravity who’s always present whenever you need her for a certain circumstance. But because of some distracting elements of our natural world, it decelerates and the situation became so complicated. Now, this is the major problem we ever faced. The hypothesis… “Misunderstanding and misinterpretations that lead now to our first ever experiment of anger.” I’m trying to fix these things up but it doesn’t take any effect (yet we keep on deriving its formula). I don’t want this to be a free-falling body that’ll soon reach the ground and remain at its stable—- er, unstable condition.

Apparently, I’m on the stage of experimentation and trying to figure out if ever there’s a conclusion in bringing back the constant friendship we’ve formulated. Hopefully, this motion is on the right path.2

1st :)

hmm, i’m not used to write in blogs.. seriously.. just wanna try this time :D

i remembered when i was just a kid, i tried to wrote something that’s bothering inside my mind in my so-called DIARY.. well, it was just a small notebook with font that’s still unchanging at this time (still the same ugly font of mine :3). all those stuffs that was written there are just the side effect of my “KA-KORNIHAN” ..

but now :)))

the reason why i’m talking about it is…. I’ve just realize that i’m tired of being —- let say— EMO. i wanna have some sense of expression in myself and i’m hoping that by writing BLOGS here is a big help for me to lessen my unpleasant loads in life.. i’m hoping for some peace of mind in this new hobby :))
